Every developer seems to be Agile nowadays. Yet we still hear tales of woe - what happened to the promised land of Agility?
Gabrielle Benefield wrote a post a while back and also explains in this short talk.
Here's what I think:
Back in the late 90s, I was developing software for Third Sector Organisations. The key purpose of this software was "Outcome Measurement". Without demonstrable outcomes, the funding for these organisations would be cut. This was quite some time ago, yet it would seem that this idea is only recently spreading into the Enterprise. Can it be that for all our metrics, charts and reports we are funding projects without knowing what "right" looks like? That we are focussing on output rather than the right kind of output?
So - how can you find out what outcomes to measure? How do you discover what success looks like for you? We have developed a package of workshops and interventions geared towards helping you learn what your success looks like. We will guide you through this process and provide you with clear outcomes and help you to turn those into options that will give your project every chance of success.
